Due to the ongoing rise in the share prices of Adani Group, Gautam Adani’s net worth has increased significantly over the last three days. He is currently just two spots behind Mukesh Ambani at the top of the world’s wealthiest list, in 15th place.

Even though it is still $38 billion less than its peak in early January, prior to the Hindenburg Research controversy, Adani’s total net worth has reached $80.3 billion. On the other hand, Mukesh Ambani’s total wealth was $91.4 billion as of December 6, up $4.33 billion from 2023.
Adani’s fortune has increased dramatically over the last eight days on the dynamic list of the world’s wealthiest billionaires, in line with the Supreme Court’s statement that there is no cause to damage his reputation in relation to the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) probe. After the hearing ended on November 28, the top court kept its ruling on a number of petitions pertaining to the Adani-Hindenburg dispute.
The Adani Group’s shares suffered on Tuesday after a Bloomberg report claimed that the allegations made by Hindenburg Research were unrelated. The group’s shares performed exceptionally well, increasing their market capitalization by Rs 1.93 lakh crore in a single day and crossing Rs 14 lakh crore on Wednesday.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won important state elections in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh after Adani’s wealth surge.
Adani’s ranking fell by over 25 points in January, a month after the report was released, as a result of the Hindenburg Research report’s conclusions.
The combined wealth of the top 500 richest people in the world is displayed by the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. Elon Musk ($220 billion), Jeff Bezos ($169 billion), and Bernard Arnault ($167 billion) currently occupy the top three spots.
Twenty other well-known Indians, including Shapoor Mistry, Shiv Nadar, Savitri Jindal, Azim Premji, Radhakishan Damani, and Uday Kotak, are included in the list in addition to Adani and Ambani.
