Exclusive: (lakshya sen) Goal: I Will Use All of My Strength to Help India Get a Paris Olympic Ticket.

In his first match in the Men’s Singles category at the India Open 2024, lakshya sen, the 2022 champion, will take the court against Priyanshu with the goal of securing a spot at the Paris Olympics. Sen’s goal is to raise his ranking in order to qualify for the Olympic quota. The former Junior World Number 1 player made it clear that his forthcoming matches are his primary focus at this time.

Prior to the game, lakshya sen told Indiadotcom that he thought his ranking would inevitably rise if he performed well in his matches. To do this, he underlined how crucial it is to pay closer attention to the matches. Sen declared, “Winning my first-round match is my main objective. In the last few months, I have received a great deal of training. In Bangalore, I spent six to seven weeks honing my craft while working every day to improve. I will put in my best effort because this tournament is important for Olympic qualification.

Sen will be looking to win the India Open 2024 title twice, and Satwik-Chirag will also be being watched.

The player, who is 22 years old, stated, “I want to perform better in this tournament as it’s the first of the year to build confidence for the future.” Although there were some things that worked in my favor, I changed a lot from the previous season. I am aware that lately, my performance has had ups and downs. But after that, I was completely focused on my training, and I worked even harder to get better.

India Open is very special to me lakshya sen.

The gold medallist from the 2018 Asian Junior Championship responded, “I have performed well in this tournament before boosting my confidence,” when asked about the chance to qualify for the Paris Olympics 2024 through the India Open-2024 and how physically and mentally prepared she is for this tournament. I am aware, though, that it is time to move on from the past and begin anew. I’m trying my hardest right now. I am motivated to strive for improvement by the significant support I receive here, which makes this tournament particularly meaningful to me.

It could be history at the India Open for Lakshya Sen. In the Men’s Singles division, the 22-year-old defeated Lee Zii Jia, the current world champion, to win the India Open for the first time in 2022. Sen would be the first player from India to win this title twice if he were to win it again. But because of his poor performance the previous year, he is concentrating on achieving this goal in order to guarantee his Olympic ticket this time around.

He said, “I’ve learned a lot from the performances from last season.” I was unable to compete well in the majority of tournaments last year due to injuries. However, over the last few weeks, I’ve been working out well at the academy under the guidance of Vimal and Prakash sir. Gaining momentum is essential because it makes the going easier once you find your rhythm.
